Great news! We heard from Dragons’ Den that we’ve been selected to appear in an upcoming episode of Dragons’ Den, airing Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 8 p.m. (8:30 p.m. in NFLD) on CBC Television.

It’s a terrific Christmas gift to us all at KANDY Outdoor Flooring. We worked very, very hard on preparing for our pitch and flew from Vancouver to the CBC headquarters in Toronto to deliver it. And while the experience in and of itself was extremely valuable, being chosen to air and share with all Dragons’ Den viewers is a bonus for which we are thankful and excited.

You may know the story. While renovating our newly-purchased Vancouver condo, we wanted to find high-quality and nice-looking outdoor flooring for the drab and dirty-looking balcony that “hung” off the floor-to-ceiling windows in the living room. We couldn’t find any suitable or appealing options that conformed to our condo rules.

We realized that, with help from the urbanization trend underway in Canada, we likely weren’t the only condo owners looking for ways to expand their home experiences onto  their balconies!  And that’s how KANDY Outdoor Flooring was born. We now provide our customers with exactly what we couldn’t find: service, quality and choice. We started operating in late 2011 here in Vancouver, expanding with our first franchise location in Toronto in 2013.
